How do consulting sessions work?                                                                

Generally we would suggest meeting in a local café (it's helpful if the café has some tables that are removed from the very busy area) we will grab a cup of coffee and have a quick chat to get to know each other and discuss what you hope to achieve from the consultancy and the we will dive right into it.

Examples of the sort of things we can help with:

• Business start up questions: Should I set up a company? What are my tax obligations? (these two questions we can currently only answer for New Zealand based clients) Basic bookeeping etc.
• Marketing for success strategies.
• Look at ways to improve current business practices for better results.
• Maximizing your existing website or do you now need a website?
• Where to next financial analysis: break even projections, stock holding practices etc.

You will get as much out of this process as you are willing to put in, sometimes it’s not easy to ask for help but it can be a turning point for you and your business.

We believe actual “face to face” consulting achieves the best results, but as travel to your location is an additional charge (see below) we can offer the following options. If you prefer you could come a coffee shop near us, or alternatively if you have a Skype enabled  computer we can talk that way. Lastly or our lest preferred method, as it does not allow for a fluid exchange of ideas, is email.

Please note that all travel charges are at the discretion of The BizAssist and may on occasion be waived especially if multiple consultancy hours are purchased. If you are unsure of costs please feel free to contact us to discuss.

Auckland: All Auckland locations will be charged at a rate of $0.80 c per kilometre calculated from Britomart in Auckland City.

Tauranga: The BizAssist also services the Tauranga area. Travelling within 15km of Tauranga City Centre  is free of charge, to give you an idea of distance this would include areas within Te Puna Road, Domain road, Papamoa and Asher road as well as Welcome Bay (the 15km free area is totally at the discretion of The BizAssist). We will charge $0.80 c per kilometre for trips outside this area.

North Island of New Zealand: If your consulting needs are not urgent then we may be able to combine travel costs with other clients to make it more economical for everyone. We will advise at time of booking if we have any visits planned to your area. In some cases flights may be available to your location cheaper than the per km cost in which case these may be utilized however transport will be needed upon arrival.

For South Island and International Destinations: The client will cover the cost of a return flight, accommodation and other related transport expenses for the consultant travelling. Please contact us to discuss your individual needs.
